though 跟 although 英文用法差在哪里呢？这是很多人遇到这两个英文词的时候，常常会感到困扰的。though 跟 although 的意思都是in spite of 的意思，也就是中文「尽管、虽然」的意思。

though 跟 although 都是从属连接词，也就是though 跟 although前面是主要子句，而though 跟 although后面的子句是从属子句，用来作为主要子句的补充。

1.although 英文用法

although可以放在句首或是句中，但是不能放在句尾。although放在句首的时候，后面要加上逗号，如果放在句中，则不用。

例：Although she is beautiful, she has a bad personality.（放在句首，中间加逗号） 尽管她很漂亮，但性格很差。

例：They are generous although they are poor.（放在句中，中间不用加逗号） 他们很慷慨，尽管他们很穷。

2.though 英文用法

though比起although来说更常用，而且though常常跟even一起出现，也就是even though。

与although不同的是，though可以放在句首、句中跟句尾。

这里要注意的是，though如果放句尾，其意思近似于中文的“不过”，而although则不能放在句尾。

例：Even though she has not lived in Japan for 30 years, she still calls it her mother country.（放句首） 即使她已经不在日本生活了30年，她仍然称其为祖国。

例：I still feel hungry even though I had a big lunch.（放句中） 即使吃了一大顿午餐，我仍然感到饥饿。

例：Though she’s almost 50, she still plans to pete. （放句首） 尽管她已经快50岁了，但她仍然计划参加比赛。

例：It was a hard job, she took it though. （放在句尾） 这工作很难，不过她还是接受了。

例：This bed is so fy, but it’s expensive though. 这张床很舒服，但是很贵。
